In the bustling streets of Kew, Victoria, a culinary gem radiates the essence of Vietnam, thanks to Tony Nguyen. His journey, not just across the seas but through flavors and memories, birthed Anh Anh Vietnamese Restaurant, a haven for authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Tony's story begins in 2006, when he first arrived in Australia to study accounting at Deakin University, Melbourne. Little did he know, his part-time job at Box Hill Restaurant was sowing seeds for his future. Post-graduation, Tony returned to Vietnam, working as an accountant, only to realize his heart was in Australia, amidst its vibrant food scene.

Returning to Australia in 2015, he rejoined Box Hill Restaurant as a manager, honing his skills in the restaurant industry. But when COVID-19 struck, and Box Hill Restaurant closed, Tony saw an opportunity in adversity. In Easter 2021, amidst the uncertainties of the pandemic, Anh Anh Vietnamese Restaurant was born.

What makes Anh Anh stand out in Kew's competitive food landscape? It's the soulful touch of family recipes, handed down from Tony's mother, Hong, a former head chef for the Vietnamese government. Her culinary mastery is the backbone of Anh Anh's menu, from the savory Bánh xèo to the delightful spring rolls, each dish is a story of heritage and passion.
